1. Introduction

Welcome to Subh. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Subh mobile application ("Subh", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and what rights you have. By using Subh, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

Your name, email address, and profile photo, provided through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In when you create an account.

City & timezone

The city you select during onboarding, used to compute your local prayer times. We do not collect GPS or precise location data.

Wakeup sessions & streak

Timestamps and status of each Fajr attempt, your streak count, and historical prayer data — stored locally on your device and synced to our servers when you are online.

Community data

If you join a community: your leaderboard position, friend connections, and your referral code.

Anonymous analytics & crash reports

Aggregated, non-identifiable usage events (via PostHog) and anonymous crash reports (via Sentry) to improve app stability. You can opt out of analytics in Settings.

The camera (QR code scanning) and pedometer (wake challenge) are accessed only in real-time during a wake challenge session. Nothing is stored or transmitted.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Compute accurate prayer times and schedule your Fajr alarm each night.
  • Maintain your wakeup streak and display your history on the Journey screen.
  • Power your community leaderboard and friend connections.
  • Send push notifications for Fajr reminders and community updates.
  • Diagnose crashes and improve app performance.

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Wakeup data is stored offline-first on your device and synced when connected. We apply standard security practices and do not retain data longer than necessary.

5. Third-Party Services

Subh uses the following sub-processors:

Supabase Database, authentication backend, and file storage.
Google LLC Authentication via Google Sign-In.
Apple Inc. Authentication via Sign in with Apple.
PostHog Anonymous product analytics. No personally identifiable information is transmitted.
Sentry Crash reporting. Reports are scrubbed of personal data before transmission.

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and is prohibited from using your data for any independent purpose.

6. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete your account — from Settings → Account. This permanently and irreversibly deletes all your data from our servers (cascade delete).
  • Opt out of analytics — from Settings → Analytics. Anonymous events will no longer be sent.
  • Access or correction — contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Subh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of Subh after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
